Identify the gap

1. The staff at Vila Health in Dallas is not culturally competent. As a result, it is unable to satisfy patients’ requirements, which increases medical errors.

2. Vila Health in Dallas experiences a high rate of nurse attrition, an increase in the workload for nurses, and a staffing shortfall (Mies & Gold, 2021).

3. A lack of communication has increased medication errors, which in turn has raised readmission rates (Gadermann et al., 2021).

4. Notable readmission and turnover rates among nursing staff have had a detrimental effect on Vila Health’s finances and image (Capolongo et al., 2020).

Justification

Nurses who experience burnout have worse mental health, lower success levels, and less organizational engagement. It increases their likelihood of quitting their job. Furthermore, it has been discovered that burnout lowers the standard of nursing care and increases turnover rates. Hospitals must thus assess the degree of burnout among their nursing staff and take important action to lessen burnout and lower turnover rates (Bodrud-Doza et al., 2020). In order to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare inequities, cultural competence is essential.

In order to effectively meet the needs of patients with varied cultural backgrounds, it is necessary to apply healthcare and caregiving knowledge in an intentional and contextually relevant manner. This is known as providing culturally competent care. Therefore, in order to properly meet the different demands of patients and improve the financial performance of Vila Health, Dallas, staff members must possess cultural competence (Vasquez Reyes, 2020).

Conclusion

An economy that functions correctly requires a functioning healthcare sector. Unfortunately, there are a lot of problems with American healthcare. Vila Health, situated in Dallas, has faced several difficulties, such as a lack of personnel, inadequate cultural sensitivity among employees, an increase in medical errors, a rise in patient readmissions, and a high rate of staff turnover. Vila Health needs to address these issues in order to maximize its profits and guarantee the security of its patients.
